1.1. Forms of invesment in Vietnam

Pursuant to Article 21 of the Law on Investment 2020, there are 05 forms of investment:

i. Investment in establishment of a business entity.

ii. Investment in the form of capital contribution or purchase of shares or stakes.

iii. Execution of an investment project.

iv. Investment in the form of a business cooperation contract (BCC).

v. New forms of investment and types of business entities prescribed by the Government's regulations.

In Vietnam, popular investment forms for foreign investors are (i) and (ii).
